orchid, made them tonight, and they were supper, and super! Baked them longer to get them...
crispy brown, and I cut back the sugar to 1/4 cup. DH, who usually uses ketchup, loved the Fiesta Dipping Sauce. I used new franks that I found at the Wal-Mart, "Oscar Mayer Smoked Uncured Beef Franks, No Nitrate or Nitrite Added, Natural", so I can pretend that these are a healthy alternative to the traditional southern corn dog. I know, I know, you folks who have access to bigger, better markets have lots of alternatives, but I'm stuck with Winn Dixie and a very small Wal-Mart.
Anyway, snacking dinner was fun.
