I am doing a 4# beef tenderloin for Easter dinner. Can anyone give me a tried and true recipe. We like it med. well to well, not rare. Thank you so much. I have never made one before.

 
Rub it with some seasonings.Put in a 500* oven for 15 minutes.

Reduce heat to 350* and roast until the internal temp is (for your purposes) 145*--about 20 minutes. Remove and let rest tented with foil.
