Ive been tossing the blackberries I get from the CSA into the freezer since we get about a half pint per week. Want to make sorbet. My ice cream maker has a recipe for raspberry sorbet which I can probably use - but does anyone have a T&T recipe?

Thanks

Tess

Sorry, haven't made it yet, but I think all you do is put frozen (or unfrozen) berries

into the ice cream maker. Add sugar if the berries are especially tart, but the tv show I saw (on Create?) just used pure blueberries and ended up with what looked like great sorbet after 40 minutes I think.

Tess I have been making this one from Southern Living. I used berry puree, not whole berries...

As per Marilyn, only churn until the consistence is like a thick smoothie. I tried that this weekend, it took 10 minutes. However, when you freeze it it becomes rock solid. Next time I will add a couple of T of some sort of alcohol to try to help it from freezing so solid.

It is delicious!
