This dish is excellent! I used chunks of cod filet, cut to the size of large scallops, to substitute for the scallops, and black forest ham to substitute for imported ham. DH and I ate every drop. If you prep everything beforehand, it goes together in a flash. I let the fish marinate while I made the topping, and this allowed the saffron flavor to diffuse through the dish.
