I received them yesterday. I ordered two cookie molds and a bon bon mold, and they sent me a free pumpkin cookie mold. I made them today and they turned out so cute. So easy and they look great. I didn't make them two-toned, but I will definitely be getting a squirt bottle and try that out. Now if I just figure out how to make the bon bons. I was thinking of doing a shell of chocolate and filling it with a truffle filling. Have you ever made these? Thanks for the heads up and I think Richard's idea of Ritz crackers and peanut butter would be good with this too.

Happy Halloween!

Hi Dawn_MO - So happy you tried and liked the molds! I have only

done the double stuff oreos in the cookie molds but definitely want to try more candy/cookie/cracker varieties. I ordered the Kokopelli and snowflakes and received a heart mold. I didn't use the squirt bottle, just a crappy (really crappy) paintbrush from a Wilton cake decorating box(think paint by numbers) to paint my Kokopelli guy. It was easy and came out really great. I just popped them in the fridge for about 5 minutes to harden and continued on.
What type of chocolate did you use? I bought some ghiradelli dipping chocolate from wal-mart that I really liked. I picked up some big blocks of LogHouse brand from Sam's Club to try next.
They were like $3 I think for a huge block.
Lets share ideas on other recipes. Looks like lots of fun! They seem like they will last a long time too!
Hope you had a Happy Halloween!
Happy Baking!

I don't know the brand of the white chocolate I used...

it was white bark, not the greatest quality, but it was inexpensive and the kids loved them. I used a dark imported chocolate also from Aldi's that shaped nicely but melted quickly when you held it in your fingers. Where in Sam's Club did you find the LogHouse brand of chocolate? I don't think I have ever seen that there. I will definitely keep my eyes out for the Ghiradelli dipping chocolate. I bought the flower one that they used to demo, the Fleur de Lis, the cherry blossom, and the bon bon mold, and they sent me the pumpkin mold free. Perfect for Halloween.
Now if I can figure out how to use the truffle molds! I will let you know what I end up doing with them.

The chocolate was next to the chocolate chips. The white chocolate I used was Merckens - I had tons

from cake decorating. It melts really thick that's why it was easy to use the paint brush.
I love the molds you chose. Really neat.
Getting a hankering for ritz and jelly!

By the way - we LOVED your jalapeno canning recipes.
The crunchy ones are out of this world! My daughter ate two half-pints full in a weekend. Unfortunately it was the last of them and I've been instructed to restock the supply by the time she comes home for Thanksgiving!

I am so glad you liked them, I just loved them. I am out right now too

and need to make another batch. Now that it is getting colder, my basement will be like a big cooler for me. Lots of storage space down there for veggies and stuff.
