Someone at work gave me 3 little snowball type cookies that reminded me of Mexican Wedding Cakes, with the notable exception of an unexpected crunch. At first, I thought...egg shell? But...no...there's a crispy flake there. Yes, I deconstructed it! LOL! Does this ring a bell for anyone? I loved the textural contrast and would love to make some. I thought I'd ask before I tried to "wing" it!

Sounds interesting. I've looked on the internet and thru some of my cookbooks but have not

been able to come up with something that sounds like what you mentioned. I wonder if they just blended in some rice Krispies into the dough? If you find a recipe let me knowe, I like to try it too.

Could it be potato chips? Here's a recipe from melissa dallas

Have you ever had the potato chip cookies? These sound close to the ones I remember making as a child.

POTATO CHIP COOKIES
Printed from COOKS.COM

2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. crumbled potato chips

When I broke the cookie apart it looked like a thin flake, that's what made me think cereal...

but it was actually a thin potato chip. It makes sense! They crunched to oblivion so easily!

my aunt makes these every year. I didn't want to try them, but I'm so glad I did. they are so

delicate and crispy---a crispy shortbread.
