ISO: ISO: cookie recipes that use the mini-candy bars leftover from Halloween :)

In Search Of:
Gosh, I would use my favorite choc chip dough or oatmeal dough and just add the chopped up bars.

What could go wrong? Unless there was lots of gooey caramel, that might get too runny. Have fun!

I agree. And to make this really easy I would make them into bar cookies...

and then, once they come out of the oven, cover them in chocolate ganache (8 oz. of whipping cream and 12 oz. (or a bit more) of chocolate chips. Melt and mix well. Pour)

oh yeah, I'm one of those who can add a few 1,000 calories to anything!

I like the bar cookie idea, too. Do you think they could be frozen with the bits of candy bars? I think there are mostly butterfinger bars, reese's pb cups.

Haven't tried these, but have seen recipes using snickers & milky way bars...

I'm sure you could substitute another type of candy bar. It's essentially a peanut butter cookie wrapped around the candy bar.

Milky Way Peanut Butter Cookies
These cookies are delicious peanut butter cookies with a bite sized
Milky Way candy bar inside. The candy melts when baked to produce a delightfully chewy caramel, peanut butter cookie.

1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 dozen bite-sized Milky Way bars

Cream together white sugar, brown sugar, butter or margarine, vanilla, peanut butter and the egg. Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Wrap 1 heaping teaspoon of dough around a bite sized Milky Way candy bar.

Bake 13-16 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Let cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.

Indeed. Don't we just buy what we want and lots of it? I noticed that Reese's

peanut butter cups were not available this year. (and all the other packages stated that they were peanut-free). so we had to go with Coffee Crisp.

I'm betting that neither of those is available in the US so you wonder what the heck I'm babbling about.

COFFEE CRISP, YES I AM SHOUTING! That is my absolute favorite candy bar, made in Canada.

I can find it only at one specialty coffee shop here. Maybe that's a good thing. It is certainly a fine chocolate bar---more for adults I think than for kiddies. I would hoard them if my kids brought them home, LOL.
