Read your post about burning your hands cleaning hot peppers, then again on the pot lid, etc. I burned my hands cleaning hot peppers several years ago, and it was suggested to me to use milk, tomatoes and a few other things. The one suggestion that did the trick was a cut potato. I had to keep cutting off thin slices of the potato to get to fresh potato starch, but after a short time this trick worked.
