I posted there what I thought you were looking for in a simple bruschetta with tomato and basil. Very easy and so delicious. I didn't want you to miss it as it seemed to be what you specifically asked for. The fresh garlic rubbed all over the toast gives it a huge punch. Don't need to put any in the tomatoes. Thanks Pinky! I found it, and it sounds perfect!

I made add a little fresh garlic and olive oil to the mixture before serving. With the group I am serving it to, I am not sure self-service is the way to go, many kids, and they happen to love fresh tomatoes. I will put out the extra olive oil and Kosher salt at the adult station. Thanks for the heads up, I might have missed it otherwise.

 
The coarse kosher salt is what sets it apart. A must-have...

and I hope sometime you try rubbing the garlic on the toast to see what it's like. Probably not for the kids (although teens love it), but a must for adults. Who love garlic.
