Meryl...

that was me. I think it was about two years ago that I won the Grand Prize in the Cook's Country Magazine, much to my surprise. I recently saw the exact recipe win in another magazine, and it was my recipe verbatim submitted by a woman in Florida. I contacted the magazine editor who was gracious enough to award me the prize money also, and a year's free subscription to their magazine. It's really good and I like it even better with tuna. If you try it, let me know how you like it.

Wow! Good for you Dawn. Come on, give us all the dirt. What was the other magazine and

did they take the money back from her or issue a correction about it?

Hi orchid...

It was called Home Cooking, and as far as I know they did not take the money back from the other person or issue a correction. I don't think they are a big time magazine and they apologized and explained they just didn't have the funds or the manpower to check every recipe. I was just irked that the person who entered it, didn't even bother to change the verbage to try and cover up the fact that it wasn't their recipe.
I thought I came up with an original recipe for an Asian Coleslaw, and I did, however, I found almost the exact same recipe on another site that I had never seen before. So I understand the originality issue, but this was just flat out plagiarism.

Well, I hope they at least told her so she won't be tempted to do it

again to someone else. I'd like to see the Asian Slaw also.

Here you go, and if I can find the other recipe I will link it.
