"Esther's Orange Marmalade Cake," formulated by Chef Scott Peacock for the author of the "Mitford Series," books. This cake comes into play in one of the books and Jan Karon the author was forced to have a cake formulated due to the demand by her readers.

I hope you enjoy this....this is the actual cake featured in the book,

"Jan Karon's Mitford Cookbook & Kitchen Reader,"

Also, congratulations on your testing process, now you have your own recipe to be enjoyed! I hope you had fun...

GayR, thank you for this recipe~ I think Sunday will be a nice day to make it I would make it today

because of my Birthday (the big 44 today) but... Making all those ring dings~ I'm giving them away. It was fun ~ more for DH but I've never done a taste test comparison so it was interesting

So I decided I'd make my cake on Sunday and this is definitely the one ~ I love orange cake and no store really carries one or orange somewhere on the cake ~ so I usually make them myself ~ I was going to make the orange slice cake but this one...

Looks to good to pass up

Thanks for the birthday present GayR ~ sure wish you could've came by and had some ring dings ~ I would have even taken out my best Tea set and made us some ginger tea

Thank you

Happy Birthday, dianncy ... enjoy your day! ...>

I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the ring ding experience. I give you a big salute and job well done!

THANK YOU IT WAS A GREAT 44TH. I got what I have wanted for over 40yrs

my very first Barbie Doll ~ that's right ~ I have never had one and always wanted one ~( I wanted the play-doh spaghetti factory but I don't think they make them anymore)

I am the youngest of 5, and 6 1/2 yrs between all of us and I have 2 older sisters and they DID have Barbie's... We guess my mother was frazzled with 5 young kids and because I have a brother 13 months older than me I guess it was easier for my mother to give me "boy" toys and to keep us quiet.

DH really listened too ~ on Labor Day at my family BBQ we were reminiscing and I had mentioned I always had wanted a Barbie doll and thought nothing of it

On Thursday he came home with a big bag and in it was my first Barbie Doll ~ I was so so extremely happy ~ I've brushed her hair and put on a better outfit and put her on a shelf ~ DH is so sweet ~ My Barbie doll, to me, was better then any jewelery ~ he is the greatest.
