Hi RuthAB. Thank goodness for Alberta sunshine. It helps to

hide the fact that it's -16.

It does help, doesn't it? Certainly better than the deep freeze we experienced a while back!

I can hardly wait to see the gas bill (not).

Have you lived here long Betty? I was born and have spent most of my life here - it kinda amuses me to see people down south wearing sweaters in climates that would cause me to wear short sleeves. Then again, those same people would be probably be amused at my definition of hot weather!

I've lived here all my life as well.

I grew up and still live in the west end (near Meadowlark). I love this City but do feel the winters are a bit too long. I'm looking forward to the weather breaking this weekend finally!

That makes us rarer than hen's teeth, or so I hear )

I don't often run into people who originated here.

I grew up on the west end, near Capilano, but did live quite near Meadowlark for several years. Who knows, we may have rubbed shoulders at the neighbourhood grocer's once or twice! Small world.
