Barbara and Gay, what are your thoughts about making this cake a day ahead? Refrigerate or not? T.IA

 
Sylvia, I have not had the opportunity to refrigerate as it disappears. I think

it will lend itself to refrigeration but since I have not tried it I am not sure what the end result will be.

Perhaps, Barbara got to refrigerate some and can respond.

 
Sylvia, I put the left over cake in the fridge last night and just had to try a piece...

this morning in order to answer your query! The slices cut and look exactly like the picture, thin layers of apple slivers. And, I think, it tastes just as good as it looks!

You might want to set it out a bit before serving if you don't want to serve it cold.
