I have a KitchenAid and really like it...see link. I was very fortunate to get it for
about $25 because it is the cobalt blue and they were having a closeout on their site several months ago. I see they still have the blue, don't know what that was all about. I remember others have commented favorably on the Braun. If you do a search here on Mimi's for immersion blender, perhaps you can find what has been posted before.

I have had a Braun and currently a KithcenAid- I would recommend both,
The Braun lasted at least 10 years, before I gave it away, wish I still had it- I get "points" as payment of some of my bonuses at work, and the KitchenAid was something available with the points, so I "upgraded" It has lots of speeds and does a great job- the Braun had only 2 speeds, but it was smaller and I kept it out on the counter (which I don't do w/ the KA) so I think it was convenient to use it more often... Love the jar which lets you chop things, both had it, and its FAB!!!
