My friend recommended Tevere (http://www.teverenyc.com) they have prix fixe menus available for groups. Though the consensus from more than one person was if you really want to make an impression, Prime Grill is the "wow factor" ticket, despite the $$$. (easy for them to say)

They also said if you forego the private room, it's not so bad pricewise.

Thanks MoNJ, and everyone, I've talked to all the event managers at the locations you suggested,

and am awaiting the final decision about where they want to go. Every place sounded so good! You can't tell from the menus that they are Kosher, I'm keeping a log of restaurants I want to visit and have added most of these to check out.
