We're celebrating our future son-in-law's birthday tomorrow and I have a key lime pie already made (his favorite) and a cheesecake in the oven. I bought 2 lbs of blueberries but plan to freeze part.

Anyone have a good blueberry sauce/glaze for topping? TIA!

Awesome! Bonni's Blueberry Wine Sauce

This awesome sauce is wonderful on Lemon Blueberry Loaf, ice cream, anything lemony. I keep 8 oz jars of it in my freezer.

BLUEBERRY WINE SAUCE

1/2 C Sugar
1 Tbl Cornstarch
1 C White wine, dry
1 Tbl Lemon juice, fresh
1 1/2 C Blueberries (fresh or frozen, defrosted & drained)

In a small saucepan, whisk together sugar and cornstarch to blend. Stir in wine and lemon juice.

Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture thickens, clears and comes to a boil.

Stir in blueberries and simmer, stirring for a few minutes or until at least half of the berries burst. Frozen berries are less apt to burst so you may have to use a potato masher to squish them.

Let cool and refrigerate. Makes 2 cups, about 6 servings.

Thanks Silvia...this is just about how I made it last night

and it turned out great! I'm sure everyone will love it! The only thing different was I used a sweeter white wine. It's delish.

Your sauce sounds great. In a pinch I always have Danish Dessert on hand. It's cornstarch pudding

mix found by the jello and it makes great fruit sauce and glaze---nice and tangy and colorful.
