ISO: ISO: Hot Brie and Carmelized Oinion Dip

I went to a function last weekend and had the most fabulous hot dip, served in a round sourdough bread loaf. I didn't get the recipe, but carmelized oinions were prepared in advance and it had all sorts of other ingredients including thyme, and brie of course. It was spellbinding. I would love to have the recipe- does anyone have it?
