ISO: ISO Jalapeno Conbread recipe WITHOUT kernels of corn.

Does anyone have a good cornbread that doesn't involve creamed corn or kernels of corn. I had a great one but apparently it has walked away . . .

Make Jiffy mix and add jalapenoes.

Get a good scratch cornbread recipe and use buttermilk . . .

instead of milk or water and add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (scant). Do not add sugar and add the jalapenos to taste.

I think jiffy mix is too sweet. . .

Does Jiffy Mix still make frosting? I can't find Jiffy Mix frosting in Illinois. My mom used to make their frosting all the time. Just curious.
