Thanks! I have one last bucketful of them before I till the soil for summer.

I was at a farmer's market on Sunday, and one booth was drawing a crowd with a pile of fresh fava bean pods.

They were tiny, like pea pods. No wonder no one would have trouble peeling them.

So, I guess if you want your money's worth, you let them get a little larger, and peel them as described in your recipe.
