From our post in 14194, did you get to talk to your friends about Sequim, pros and cons. We are thinking seriously about moving there and are planning a trip in August, with Sequim as the focus of our trip. Will try and look around for anything that is comparable.

We here is salmon fishing will be good this year and I hope I can find someone who will be willing to provide us with the necessary skills to catch them.

I did speak to our friends that night and here is what I found out

At a past dinner with us they had said the political climate was not to their liking, but they loved their time there, meeting all the people, etc. I was perplexed as to what they did not like, but in the flurry of conversations, I did not pursue the answer. When I asked them last week, they said...."it is a liberal, artsy community! Huh?
Just for your info., I hate putting labels on people and feel that each of us is an individual. Plus, what is wrong with artsy? My folks live in an artsy community and I love it.

My husband and I loved Sequim and even looked at property...very expensive and I can only imagine what is is now. The views are fabulous. That entire area is beautiful and as for me...life is what you make of it. Good luck with your venture...I envy you as I would like to be doing the same thing. Send me a PM with your email, I'd like to keep in touch.

Thanks for getting back

Well, I guess we just won't talk politics. As long as people don't stick it in my face I'm okay, just keep it to your self.
NoCa, can be expensive too. We love SF, but we want something now that is less hectic, political, and noisey.
