7th grade daughter is throwing a Halloween bash tomorrow night and doesn't want pizza and usual tween fare. She wants "catering" food.

I need to balance her idea with food that kids will actually eat. I've got some tentative ideas, but would also love to tap the creative minds here. The party is tomorrow... so I need to get cracking! smileys/smile.gif

How about "walkin tacos". Most kids love this and its easy and clean-up is good. too.

Maybe ice cream sunday bar for dessert or spooky cookies.

baked chicken wings/drumettes, mini eggrolls, layered taco salad/dip

maybe bacon tomato cups, potato skins, fruit skewers with a chocolate or carmel dip?

Upscale Pig 'n a Blanket. Slide Kielbasa diagonally, roll each slice in a triangle of puff pastry.

Bake at 400*. Serve with mustard.

I believe Dawn posted a recipe for Corn Dogs and Pizza muffins.

I made the corn hotdog recipe and served with lil dishes of ketchup, mustard and barbeque sauce. It was a hit for a football party. ((Thanks again Dawn))

I also wanted to make the pizza muffins, just haven't had the occasion.

Will try to search for them and link them

Best,
Barb

The corn dog recipe is a hit with teen's here. (I made "pups" on a stick) with the side dishes you

mention.

Official Tween Halloween Menu

Roasted Onion & Garlic Jam w/ Goat Cheese & Crostini
Teriyaki Beef Skewers
Southwestern Chicken Skewers w/ Ancho Dip
Mini Paninis
Devilled Eggs
Veggies & Ranch Dip

Biggest hits: the beef skewers and the paninis... but they did a great job eating it all.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

p.s. For those of you that remember my fiasco Halloween dinner party last year... No, that same family didn't make an appearance this year! smileys/wink.gif
