from CDN in the stores at present....lovely looking salt beef, belly pork etc. (In a see through pkt with a white label and red writing)

I took a flying visit in the A.M. and didn't have time to take in everything on the shelves but there were lots of stuff.....any special sort of thing I could look out for.

I'll go for a more leisurely visit this week and check out the shelves.

 
Canada produces particularly good bacon. (not what Americans call 'Canadian bacon' - nor John Candy)

Poor guy. Wish he were still around. If you can get a pkg. of thick slice, meaty, it's usually terrific.

One of our stores down there brought in President's Choice products. Now that was REALLY popular. If you have a supermarket that imports that, let me know.

Wild rice, of course. But you probably always got that.

Our asparagus is in season right now.

I'll think on it.
