ISO: ISO Marilyn, are you doing ok with all the rain on the east coast? I just saw the news about

Hi all....things are well at home, if wind-blown. Hurrican season: God's way of pruning...

It's currently hanging over Daytona Beach so I drove into work (Orlando) today. Drove very slowly on I-95, so the long commute was even longer; but safer.

All of the roadside ditches are full to the top and can't really take much more before they start flooding the highways. Lar works in Daytona Beach and the storm is sitting offshore from there, but his college still hasn't cancelled. Go figure.

Thank you kindly for your well-wishes.

MarilynFL, So happy to hear you are well, I guess we all dodged the bullet this time!

Yes, 'glad to hear all the Florida people are staying safe and dry!

How will it effect the orange/citrus crop for the future? Anyone heard anything about this?

Hi Dawn, I read there wasn't a lot of wind or flood damage, so should be okay. What worries the

growers is the chance the winds spread canker to areas that were not affected. Canker is a big threat to the Florida citrus crop.
