Marilyn, either you got two pm's or none...I can't tell. Below is what I tried to send.

Hi Marilyn, I just had to share this. None of the Super Walmarts in Bradenton/Sarasota had the jars you mentioned. I found them on Amazon shipped from a store called Goodman's. I ordered 4 packages @$4.99 for a pack of 4. Imagine my surprise when I came home to a large heavy box. Goodman's packs that packages of 4 in another box. 4 packs of 4 for a total of 16. They sent me 4 of the boxes of 4=64 jars for a total cost, including shipping, of $30.41. $.48/jar.

I'm going to have to make a ton of Dyslexic Bittersweet Sauce.

That is Really funny! I know I spent much more when I purchased mine from a local hardware store.

I seriously think I spent $5.00 for 6? or something like that.

Now to come up with some other fun recipes to use them for.... Hmmmm.....

This is too funny. It reminds me of the diaper...oops, sorry...make that paper pans smileys/wink.gif

Michael, I've been buying from Qzina since 2000. They have a facility in Pompano Beach

Also in LA, Chicago, San Fran, Las Vegas, Toronto, Belgium, Pine Brook NJ, Vancouver and Edmonton.

Qzina website doesn't list prices, but these may be close enough for estimation:

Semi-sweet D811 (53%) 5kg block (11 lb)
>> ~$58, ~$5.30/pound

Bittersweet (70%) 5kg block (11 lb)
>> ~$68, ~$6.20/pound

Shipping cost: I ended up ordering one 5kg semi-sweet, one 5kg gianduja, and one 10 kg bag of 70% bittersweet callets. Who knew I was ordering 44 POUNDS of chocolate?? I sure didn't. Total was $261 without shipping.

I momentarily went into a panic wondering what the shipping costs would be, but knew I wanted the chocolate, so I bite the proverbial bittersweet bullet. The chocolate arrived in two HUGE boxes and inside, the blocks and callets bag were wrapped in quilted foil and empty dry ice sacks were on top. The blocks were still chilled.

And the shipping costs for these TWO huge boxes?
$20.

I was so impressed I called Qzina customer service back and thanked them for their high quality of packaging. From the surprised giggle at the other end, I have to assume they've never received a call like that.
