ISO: ISO MarilynFL re. resetting Taylor thermometer

You probably pitched yours after the turkey fiasco but if you still have it, look for a depression labeled reset and press it with a pencil point. My thermometer was only reading LLL when I went to use it tonight then it shut off completely. I thought I would try a new battery and noticed the reset button near the battery door. Pressed it and, voila, back in business.

immediately after The Thanksgiving Debacle.

Good that you could return it. I worried about mine after reading your story.

Since then I have purchased a Thermapen and one of those laser thermometers that you point at a surface. Love them both but they do not replace a probe.
