Three teen age boys are coming to visit T'giving Holiday. They will enjoy Turkey and all the trimmings earlier that day somewhere else, but will be with me Turkey Day evening. Would appreciate suggestions for what to feed them for supper? Many thanks.

Marianne

If not leftovers, maybe meatloaf? How about hoagies made

with turkey and Swiss? Lots of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers?

These ham sandwiches posted by Traca would be perfect, and easy, esp if you're cooking T-Day

The thread that goes with this is a good read too

Hawaiian Ham Sandwiches

1 12 count package Kings Hawaiian Rolls
1/2 cup butter melted
1/2 tsp ground mustard (I used dijon)
2 tsp onion flakes
1 tsp worcheshire sauce
1 package Swiss cheese (I used 1/2 package, slices cut in half)
12-16 oz thin sliced ham

Put ham and cheese on sliced rolls

Mix all other ingredients and spoon over sandwiches. Let set overnight or several hours

Bake on 350 for 15 min before serving.

Homemade BBQ turkey pizza

If you make homemade crust then make it (easy to make- if you need a recipe I can give you mine).

When ready to put in the oven, slather a good BBQ sauce on the crust. Then layer whatever you like- cooked turkey, thinly-sliced onion, thinly-sliced sweet pepper, mushrooms, etc. Then a good layer of sharp cheddar cheese. Then put sliced black olives, maybe some avo slices on top and sprinkle parmesan cheese over all. Pop in the oven at 425 for about 25 min (for a large pizza). Delicious! The kids will love it.

I take the onions, pepper, mushrooms, black olives and individually wrap in paper towels to squeeze out some of the liquid- if I don't do that the pizza can be kind of "wet".

I like to steer the Thanksgiving leftovers to Mexican...

completely different and so many ways to go using the components disguised in burritos, tacos, enchiladas, etc. It's very forgiving, extremely versatile, and the Mexican spices and accompaniments totally disguise Thanksgiving leftovers into something new and fun.

I would involve the boys in making the pizzas. Even kids who think they hate cooking would like that
