Hi Meryl,

You asked me a bit ago about how I got the italics in my posts here, and I keep forgetting to give the answer....

These are basic html codes you can usually use on this board:

For italics, enter it like this:

< i > italics < /i >

but close the spaces between the < > and the i.

You can do bold by:

< b > bold < /b >

Underline is:

< u >Underline< /u >

Again, removing the spaces between the < > and the interior letters.

You got it! The don't work in the post titles, only the body. And on rare occassion, the site

won't allow the text to post with the codes - I've only had that happen once or twice.

Lisa....

Thank you for posting that Lisa. I haven't done this in years and it's good to know again.

Too bad dos doesn't work. It was such a quick method.

Okay, now let's see if I got it...

Yep, Good. Thank you again.

Ah, the good ol DOS days - I learned it just in time for WordPerfect.....

(which I miss terribly)

Did I mention how much I hate dislike MS Word?

Please everyone...please don't open the one above up! I have no idea what I've done!

Never Mind! Rick straightened ,no, took mercy on me and helped me. Now, how to do color....

& thanks lisa. i didn't know about the for strikethrough or...
