What a nice surprise they were for my poor deprived children who almost never get homemade baked goods. (Really, I think the last time I baked cookies was 2 or 3 years ago.) And nice and easy for me to bake, too!

To show you how rarely I bake, here was the actual conversation when they got home from school.

Delaney, coming up the stairs, "Something smells really good!"

Me, proudly, "I made cookies!"

Shea, "REAL cookies?"

She's a senior this year - 17. Delaney turns 15 on Saturday and is a freshman. Hands. Full.
