I made 1 and 1/2 times the amount of cake and left the crumb topping amount as it was. Still didn't use it all and I was also disappointed in it. The cake was fine but the topping tasted like raw flour to me. Added a bit more cinnamon to the top but it still doesn't taste like I want to share it with anyone. If I make it again, I'll use the cake recipe and use Martha's streusel topping

 
Cyn, maybe your cinnamon wasn't strong enough. I used the cinnamon (m)

from Penzey's but I have to be careful not to use too much as it has a much stronger flavor than the "store bought" cinnamon. I did not have a problem with the topping, but I do not think I would make this again. After sitting in an air tight container for a few days, the flavor does develop. My DD did not care for the texture of the cake part. Guess we can't win 'em all.

 
Hi Mis! I did use Penzey's. I only used more as an attempt to cover the raw flour taste. I ended

up feeding the disposal with the whole thing. I usually LOVE FC recipes!
