ISO: ISO Old Elle Magazine Recipe Caribbean Chicken

I know this is a long shot but in the mid 80s Elle Magazine did a spread on a Caribbean cooking that has a great chicken recipe in it. The marinade had soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, ginger and I think vinegar. The recipe called for marinating the chicken with tomatoes, onions and I think peppers. The chicken was browned with oil and sugar that made a glaze and then marinade and vegetables were added and cooked. Thanks in advance if anyone has it.
