You're so thoughtful to remember my fondness for madeleines. And isn't it amazing what's being made into Christmas trees these days? The other day I saw a tree made from star cookies (cookie cutter stars in a variety of sizes) that looked like something I'd like to make some time, but now I forgot where I saw it...lol. I'm sure I'll come across it again soon.
