Hello,

Seems like a silly request, but I purchased some glazed mixing bowls from a local specialty kitchen shop and when I used my Cuisinart mixer, the beaters scratched the finish off the bottom of the bowl.

I don't want them just for looks, but if I can't use them why buy them?

Thanks!

Ann

Hi Ann, I would return them...

I bought the mixing bowls from OXO and I love theml They are white plastic, with rubber on the bottom so they do not slide around when you use them. I bought the medim-sized one first, and like it so much, I bought the larger and smaller ones. I bought them at Target, but I would think that you can get them at other stores also.

I would also say return them- the glaze should hold up. I have used my

grandmother's glazed mixing bowls for forty years and they were used for more than forty years before that and the glaze is intact. I do use my Cuisinart hand mixer in them.

I think you just got a poor quality product. There are many of them on the market these days. Sold for looks instead of quality.

Thank you both for your replies. I will call & ask for the manager of the store NT
