no time to prepare. Made some savory biscotti that I'll put out but what to drink? Can I concoct a decent sangria out of what I have in the house? Lots of red wine and a raspberry wine, fruits, mints and lemon balm and a pretty decent pantry. Can you guys help?

sangria should work. i might leave out the mint...

if you could get ahold of some apple and citrus it would be better. do you know any guest(s) that could be persuaded to bring some?

add equal volume of seltzer to wine.

I have apple and citrus. Never made it without a recipe before. Should I

use the raspberry wine? And add what else, please?
Doesn't HAVE to be sangria. Just something tasty!

Orange juice and lemonade tastes good mixed together, if you wanted, you could add just a touch of

peach schnapps. It's a pretty drink, as well as refreshing in the heat.

Your apple or citrus would be pretty and refreshing with a touch of cassis.

i slice 1 apple, 1 range, 1 lemon and 1 lime into a pitcher and pour in a bottle of wine...

and let steeep about 30 minutes then add seltzer and ice. i often add about 1/2 cup tripple sec with the fruit. all the fruits aren't necessary - use what you have.

the raspberry wine would be a nice touch. also i sometimes add some frozen berries.

Hey Cyn, when you aren't as rushed could you post the savory biscotti recipe?

A glass of sangria and some nibbles sounds just perfect!

Thanks for your help, guys! This is what I did. Took the bottle of raspberry wine

added some peach puree, fresh raspberries and club soda. Tasted cool and refreshing. Biscotti recipe to follow
