My wife wants to make Raspberry Freezer Jam that includes Sure-Jell and lemon juice. I have not found anything on line, but I suppose if I spend a few hours I might find one, but 20 min. was my limit.

Oli, buy a box of Sure Jell...read the instructions and it will give you very easy and detailed

instructions on how to do it. Not difficult at all, and freezer jam is the way to go because it tastes so fresh. Adding a small amount of lemon juice,
according to the instructions on the link should give you and your wife what you are looking for.

If you read the article in the link Karen posted states no lemon juice is an error on the part

of Kraft, which is the manufacturer of Sure-Jell. It states to use lemon juice, bottled juice preferred.

As others have said, go to the supermarket and buy a box of Sure Jell or now they

sell pectin in jars for measuring out what you need.
It is dead easy, and even if you don't add the lemon juice, it will work. But following directions will give you what you want.

If you don't use acid it will eventually gel, just not as quickly with the added pectin.

I've added lemon juice before , no more than called for

I've even added liquors to my frozen strawberry jams. Sometimes I have had a batch that does not set up as much, so we use it for ice cream, or other desserts. Works just fine.
