ISO: ISO recipe for a blush sauce. This is my granddaughters favourite sauce.

She eats here quite often because I live close to the University she goes to and sometimes sleeps over when she has early classes. I'm looking for a sauce without vodka or meat. Haven't been able to find one on the internet. They all seem to have Vodka. TIA

Hmmm, I always thought that was just a marinara with heavy cream added.

You can always strain or puree the marinara first if you want it smoother.

here's one from the Pioneerwoman blog. she links 2 other variations without vodka in the post.

all of them sound good---I haven't actually tried them, but looking over the ingredients, they can't be bad. I find the one with the roasted peppers especially tempting.
