and opened the link to your pictures. OMG!!! I can't imagine how spoiled your friends must be that eat at your table. just beautiful.

have you posted your saurebraten recipe anywhere? I haven't made one in years and years and would like to have a go at it. and that stuffed pork loin with pan gravey?

I just loved reading the menues posted. there are some great ideas and pairings. thanks to all of you who posted your menus smileys/smile.gif

Randi thank you...

We have a good time here. No doubt about that, and I love recreating the menus from the old country. I'm so glad you enjoyed those postings.

I'm not at home right now, but whatever recipes you want i will post. I grew up on a farm in a German family who had preserved the ways of the old country simply because of the fact that they landed in the middle of nowhere and they were isolated for so long (the great- generation were still throwing out the German).

Granted I have spiffed things up a bit after my years of study in Austria, and most of my recipes are now modern adaptations (but still so true to the originals), but I can supply you with the basics. Give me a day or so and I'll post them.

But I'm true to my old Prussian great-grandfather who had no time for sillieness or posturing. You say what you mean and you sit and eat a good meal with your generations.
