We made the crostini and pasta with the carmalized s'hrooms last night at friend Phyl's house. They were a big hit.
Originally it was only going to be Phyl, her daughter, maybe her husband, my daughter and myself..... well... who were we kidding???? really!!
Ci and I met new next door neighbor.... she stayed for appetizers that included the crostini, then friend Eileen came over to drop something off, she and her DH were headed to Vermont for the week, so she was going on home to make tuna melts ( ewww) and we convinced her to call her hubby and have him come over and eat with us, so he did. Hearing that Eileen's hubby was coming, Phyl's hubby decided that he would also hang around ( he was going to depart and leave the house to the female element, especially since we were going to talk about Cici's wedding. Brooke, Phyl's daughter is MOH) so once again the Food Event grew to several more people than we expected. The crostini was to die for, and the pasta was just SO good. When we realized that we had invited more people, we tossed in some grilled sausage. All in all, it was a great meal with great friends and recipes compliments of my friends here at FK.
The girls were mocking us telling us that they are going to post our pictures in the kitchen of the reception hall to warn the food staff that if they see us they are to keep us out of the kitchen!
Thanks so much guys!!!
