Just picked up some cilantro at the market (believe it or not, I can't always find it in stock!). I have everything else for the burgers but don't want to have them until next week. Can I freeze and, if so, should I grill first or freeze ungrilled (is that a word?)

 
I would probably form and freeze.....

... leave them over the counter to thaw slightly before you cook them.

Now, keep in mind I haven't done that, so you would be my beloved guinea pig smileys/wink.gif

 
Actually, I made 6 burgers (slightly smaller), cooked and froze 4 of them.

Thawed in frig and reheated on stove. Used potato slider rolls.

Please note that I doubled the cheese both times. Goofed the first time and liked the flavor so much I do it on purpose now.

But they are certainly firm enough to shape/freeze without cooking.
