my husband just loves these cookies that the bakery in the small town he grew up in makes that is made from two of their cookies doughs - oatmeal and some sort of butternut or something. So we decided to try it with your butterscotch wafers. I combine the Quaker Oatmeal cookie recipe with your recipe. It's another winner. Surprisingly thought, the oatmeal still stands out against the butterscotch but the two flavors together are very nice and the texture was good also. So if you are evern in the mood to experiment.

I'm intrigued, Missy.... So you make two doughs, and scoop a little of each to form each cookie?

That combo of a butterscotch cookie and and oatmeal cookie totally sounds like a winner - I gotta try that this weekend!

Thanks for sharing!

Actually, I blended the two doughs together but...

you might could do it that way. After eating more of them, I think I might try a 1/2 recipe of oatmeal cookie and full recipe of the butterscotch wafers. But anyway you try it - the two flavors are very nice together - much better than oatmeal scotchies with those chips! I still think I like the butterscotch wafers by themselves but this is different and nice too.
