and became intrigued with the "Triangle" julienne slicer. What a neat little gadget! Do you recall where you purchased it?

Hi Ruth, I really like that thing! I bought it at Williams-Sonoma...

It was a little pricey (about $30?), but I like it. I like that the julienne pieces are not super thin.

However, you do end up with a long, skinny piece that's kinda unusable, so I only use it if I need a lot.

A mandoline would probably be easier to use, but I hate dragging that big thing out, and having to wash so many pieces, so that julienne peeler works great for me.

Thanks, Sandi. I looks like W-S has stopped carrying it.

It looks like such a nifty gadget. The hand julienned veggies tend to poke through rice paper wrappers, I find, and grating them isn't producing the result I want either. From your pics, it looks like this would do the trick. I'll have to look around to see if can track one down elsewhere.

Hi Ruth! Did you check the on-line website? If so, check the stores if you have one nearby...

I looked on-line and couldn't find it, but I thought I saw it in our local store recently - I can go back and check if it's still there.

I looked at several julienner thingies, and I like the shreds produced by this slicer - not too thin, not too thick. Perfect for salads, and stir-fry noodle dishes.

Let me know if you can't find it...
