ISO: ISO: Sandy in Philly or anyone familiar with Center City...

I will be staying at the Center City Marriot next weekend while attending a trade show in the convention center. We need some new places nearby to eat and there are tons of them but which ones are good? We love to be able to walk to the restaurant after spending all day inside. Do you have any suggestions? We are trying to get all our reservations in now!

Portofino's if you like Italian (about 4 blocks away) Restaurant Row is Walnut Street

where you'll find Striped Bass, Le Bec Fin, etc. but I haven't eaten at those places. Also, Susanna Foo, La Croix at Rittenhouse Square are other notables.

Actually, I live on the outskirts of the city in the City Line area so I'm not too hip on what's hot other than the popular ones.

Sandy--Thank you vwery much! I have submitted these for consideration

of the entire group of travelers. I know they have eaten at Le Bec Fin before but I don't think they have tried any of the others. I think Lolita's is on the list for one night when there will be only 3 of us. The Continental is also up for consideration.

I wish I had more time to see the city but we work all day and evening. The most I get to do is a quick trip to the market for lunch, no time to even shop there!
