DH is in love with El Torito's carne asada - especially the sauce on it. I know it must be pretty simple and I've played around with it - marinating the meet in a lime juice mixture, pan frying the meat and adding back the lime mix with chopped tomato until it cooks down... but it's still not right and I don't know what I'm missing.

Anyone??

You may be in pursuit of the Holy Grail... Many of us are longing for (dawn/Mo...

...the consumate carne asada recipe.

Sounds like what you are looking for.

I saw that Michael!! May the...

Pittsburgh Steelers go the extra YARD!!

So ironic that I flew in from Tampa to Philly this afternoon... wish the Eagles were playing but hey, I'm an East Coast Gal at heart! LOL!!

The Cards just may surprise yet again. If the Steelers do win, it only proves that it takes...

...TWO teams from Pennsylvania to beat ONE team from Arizona!

Michael, I was crushed when Pittsburg got that last touchdown last night. But the

whole time watching the game I was trying to figure out which one of the players (I thought it was a Cardinal, but maybe not) with the dreadlocks (there were 4 of them out there on the field at one time last night!!) had grown them to make a donation of hair to cancer patients. Was it Larry Fitzgerald?

Does anyone else hear this story in the days leading up to the Superbowl? I wish I could remember his name. Maybe it was Usama-something, who didn't even play last night.

Is this close-Cilantro Lime dressing Like El Torito

This was posted on a beta site-group recipes:

1 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 small jalepeno , seeded and minced.. (wash hands after seeding, or you will burn your eyes!)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 pkg ranch dressing mix (dry)
2 cloves garlic
Juice of 2 limes
1/4 tsp hot sauce

Directions
Place sour cream, pepper, mayonnaise, cilantro, ranch mix, lime juice, hot sauce and garlic in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Yes everything....... Easy! Add more sour cream or mayo for thickeness.
Done!!!

No... it's not a cream base - I think it's all in the seasonings... but sounds like a good dressing.
