ISO: ISO Sheet Cake Pan Size info...what size pan should I use for this recipe? Many thanks.

Yes, looks like she used a baking sheet, but I'd use a 9x13 too

I still think of baking sheets as a cookie sheet with sides because when I was little they were both cookie sheets to me. I'd want a thicker cake, so like Lisa, would opt for the 9x13 or 2-3 round cake pans depending on how much batter I ended up with.

That finished picture of the one in the baking sheet looks like a bit of a sad puddle. All that mint needs is a chocolate kiss on top and the cake would look like a melted Wicked Witch of The West - might be perfect for a movie night that included the new Oz film.

When sotherners talk about these sheet cakes they are talking about a jelly roll pan

Thaat's what I think she used here. That is also what the Texas Sheet cake that everyone likes so much is usually made in.

10 by 15 or 12 by 18 inches

I was surprised to find that I have been using my 12"x18" 1/2-sheet cake pan when the 10"x15" jelly roll pan was called for. I never measured the pans!

Many thanks for all of your replies. Apparently there is a lot of variation in jelly roll

pan sizes. The most intriquing aspect of this recipe was that I didn't need to pull out my Kitchen Aid mixer to mix the batter. Can a cake really be this easy? I'll let you know. LOL!
