...General Norman Schwarzkopf that was published in "In The Kitchen With Miss Piggy", of all things. The book was a Muppet parody of (the) Oprah's book, "In The Kitchen With Rosie".

Miss Piggy, not to be outdone by (the) Oprah, gathered a bunch of recipes from celebrity cooks. I always wanted to try that recipe, but can't seem to find it on the web.

Does anyone have a T & T, or, by chance, THAT recipe? (I found a number of recipes for Sour Cream Peach Pie on the web, but, alas, none from the General).

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Not peach, but I just LOVE this one, and you could adapt... REC: Apples and Cream Crumb Pie

No reason why you couldn't substitute peaches...

Apples and Cream Crumb Pie

In the top 10 favorites pies of 1990

1-1/2 cups sour cream
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
3 lbs. apples, peeled, cored and cut in thin wedges
Cinnamon Pastry Shell (below)... or your favorite
Streusel Topping (below)

Combine sour cream, egg, sugar, flour, vanilla and salt in large bowl. Add apples and mix well. Turn into Cinnamon Pastry Shell. Cover crimped edges lightly with foil. Bake at 450 deg. 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350 deg. and continue baking 35-40 min.

Remove pie from oven. Stir apple filling gently but thoroughly. Remove foil around edges. Spoon streusel topping evenly on top. Return to oven and bake 15-20 min. longer.

Cinnamon Pastry Shell
