ISO: ISO Substitute for Sour Cream

I am making a Blintz Souffle which calls for 3/4 cup sour cream. I find tht I only have 1/2 cup sour cream. Is there any problem with using 1/4 cup yogurt to do this recipe? There are 6 eggs in the recipe, if that matters. I read someplace where you should drain the yogurt before using, but since it is only 1/4 cup will I have a problem? TIA

 
As for the ham, I would throw a few pieces in a pot of beans with no other salt added. Just about

anything else I can think of would be too salty. That would be dried beans or even green beans. Maybe minced in a quiche with no other salt?
