I've just thrown out my second grid. The two that I've bought so far are those inexpensive black ones you can find at Bed Bath& Beyond or Linens'n' Things for under $15 I think. The black paint buckles and then flakes and we don't want to ingest any of that stuff! Are there any better grids that don't cost more than $30 or do I need to spend more? I use them to grill asparagus or shrimp or when I don't want to skewer kabobs. Thanks!

One thing we love up here are those baskets for delicate fish or shrimp or whatever you don't want

falling down between the grates. You could easily put asparagus or bunches of shrimp in the basket, close it and pop it on the grill. then flip the whole thing over. keeps hamburgers from sticking to the grill too. The "baskets" are flat and hinged so they come apart to fill, then close and latch to put on the grill, handle sticking out.

I do have a basket but only use it if I've got a lot of things to grill to

fill it up so the stuff doesn't roll around. That's why I like the grid with the holes in it for just grilling maybe a pound of asparagus and a few shrimp.
