I've tried many pumpkin pie recipes, but always end up back at the one on the label of the Libby's canned pumpkin. This one will be the new house recipe.
I use the "ready crusts" for the pastry - I don't like rolling out the home made. Pillsubury makes a nice one
The only tweak I made was to sub a 1/2 cup of half and half for the cup of hot water. It seemed like it would be too thin otherwise.
