ISO: ISO t&t savory cheddar finger food recipes. there's one in t&t but it warns

that you need to do it in a food processor and i don't have a big one. do have a stand mixer. any suggestions? or do you think that dough would come together ok in a mixer if i shredded the cheddar on a microplane or fine grater? thanks!

There are many recipes out there for cheese straws, but I had to post Grandma's recipe. These were a staple at her house and we couldn't wait to devour them when we went for a visit.

2 dozen
time to make 25 min 10 min prep

1/2 lb grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 lb butter, softened
1 1/2 cups flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash red peppers (or to your liking)
1/4 teaspoon paprika
3 teaspoons water

1. Cream cheese and butter.

2. Add dry ingredients and water.

3. Refrigerate for one hour.

4. Roll dough until 1/4 inch thick.

5. Cut into strips.

6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
