Decided to make the thick quiche from the link of the NPR article Marilyn posted...NPR says the page cannot be found. I know it was there because I skimmed it and thought I would be able to read it fully later. Like today.

Did anyone copy the recipe from that article?

On his blogged, which I just discovered this morning, he says a springform ring won't work as well,

though he says he doesn't know why. At the link, scroll down the page to more info about the quiche.

I see that. Maybe because the springform is almost 3-inches high.
