the origanal recipe called for figs, which I already did, and they were fantastic. However, not because of the scones - but because the scone batter was so good (buttermilk and maple syrup in the batter)- best scone I've ever made. I'm out of figs but still have buttermilk left over - any suggestions what to add to this batch?
